CNBC continues to build out its upcoming Prime slate, having just signed on an additional two series The Fix and Family Business Project. Jim Ackerman, CNBC's Senior VP of primetime alternative programming, strives to build a primetime identity for the network, something completely different from the brand's recognized "Business Day" programming.
In his pursuit to build a new on-air destination, Ackerman continues to carefully select which shows to add to the new line-up. The Fix follows Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis as he doles out $2 million of his own money to faltering businesses with promise in effort to turn them around. Family Business Project features families who compete for a cash prize in front of a panel of judges and studio audience, with the audience ultimately deciding which family takes home the cash prize.
